I always expected a sea monster

This project is in progress. The Arts Council of Northern Ireland funded me to make work in collaboration with designer-maker Rachel Calder, exploring the many and ambivalent meanings of the sea. While I usually think in two dimensions, Rachel thinks in three, and we are working out how to bring our methods and materials into relationship to make something new together, from photographs, texts, fabrics, seaweed, resin and light.
